President Droupadi Murmu wrapped up her six-day tour to Odisha with a packed itinerary of governmental, academic, and cultural events in five districts.
Her whirlwind journey led her to Khordha, Jajpur, Balasore, Puri, and Mayurbhanj, where she met tribal women and youth and emphasized the value of community-driven development and inclusivity.
The President’s visit demonstrated her commitment to Odisha’s development, with an emphasis on empowering underprivileged groups and promoting long-term progress.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi presented President Droupadi Murmu with a book titled ‘Pragati Prabaha’ that highlights the state’s growth path at the Lok Bhawan before her departure for New Delhi.
The President was bid farewell by Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Secretary Anu Garg and BMC Mayor Sulochana Das at Bhubaneswar airport.
Taking to his X account, CM wrote: “The pride of our Odisha soil, the Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu, before her return to New Delhi, met with courtesy today at the Lok Bhawan and was presented with a booklet titled ‘Pragati Prabaha’ related to the saga of the state’s development. Later, at the Bhubaneswar airport, she was present alongside the Hon’ble Governor Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati to bid farewell to the Hon’ble President. The President’s visit is extremely memorable and inspiring for our state. Her guidance will always inspire us towards realizing the vision of a ‘Developed Odisha’. I pray to Lord Shree Jagannath for her excellent health and long life.”
CM Majhi expressed gratitude for the President’s advice, adding her visit spurred the state to work towards a “developed Odisha.”
