In an effort to make learning more accessible, the National Council of Educational Research and Training has launched a series of free online courses for students in grades 11 and 12. The courses are offered through the SWAYAM platform, which provides structured digital education across many subjects.
According to the official update, the program includes 11 subjects: accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, geography, physics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, business studies, and English. Each course is designed to last 21 weeks, allowing students to learn at their own speed.
The courses use interactive resources including video lectures, discussion forums, and subject matter experts to guide students. Students can also participate in quizzes and assessments for ongoing self-evaluation. After completing the course and final assessment, participants will receive certificates.
The programme also provides 24-hour access, allowing students to learn at any time and from any location. This adaptable approach is intended to assist students enhance their comprehension in addition to their normal schoolwork.
According to the program, students must finish their registration by September 1. The assessment registration window will be open on September 7 and finish on September 9. Final exams will be held from September 10 to September 15, and the courses will end on September 15.
How to Apply for Courses on SWAYAM and NCERT Portals
- Students must register on the SWAYAM portal to apply.
- Select the preferred course and complete the enrolment process.
- Access the available study material after enrolment.
- Complete all course activities and requirements.
- Appear for the final assessment to qualify for certification.
- Alternatively, candidates may also register through NCERT’s official website before the specified deadline.
