Ramdas Athawale, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, paid a courtesy call to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the Lok Sabha Bhawan today.
During the meeting, the Union Minister and the Chief Minister had comprehensive conversations about several problems of social justice and empowerment in the state.
Majhi informed the Union Minister that the Odisha administration will fully collaborate with the Central administration on all public welfare initiatives aimed at enhancing the social security system.
Chief Minister Majhi told Athawale about crucial social security measures that the state is implementing. These include the inclusion of an additional six lakh beneficiaries under the Madhu Babu Pension Scheme and the provision of an extra 5 kg of rice to beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Annapurna Scheme.
