Stock Market Highlights on Friday, Sept 18, 2026: After trading in a small range all day, the benchmark indices concluded the session on a mixed note.
The Nifty50 was up 75.80 points, or 0.33 percent, at 23,346.40, while the Sensex dropped 19.63 points, or 0.03 percent, to 74,294.96.
The Nifty50’s top gainers were Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Adani Enterprises, and Bharti Airtel.
The Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap increased by 1.24 percent and 1.74 percent, respectively, in the larger markets.
In terms of sectors, the Nifty IT fell the most, while the Nifty Metal, Nifty Realty, Nifty Oil and Gas, Nifty Cement, and Nifty Chemical all did better.
