Stock Market Highlights on Monday, Sept 21, 2026: Following a drop in oil prices and a softening of global bond yields, investors’ risk appetite strengthened, and the main indices settled higher.
The Nifty50 was up 67.90 points, or 0.29 percent, at 23,414.30, while the Sensex increased 564.03 points, or 0.76 percent, to 74,858.99.
The Nifty 50’s leading gainers were Eternal, HCL Technologies, and SBI Life Insurance Company.
The Nifty MidCap and Nifty SmallCap experienced declines of 0.29 percent and 0.07 percent, respectively, in the wider markets.
In terms of sectors, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Pharma, Nifty Healthcare, Nifty Realty, and Nifty Consumer Durables did better than Nifty Metal and Nifty PSU Bank.
