Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy has summoned an all-party meeting for Wednesday (November 26, 2025) to discuss how to run the state Assembly’s forthcoming winter session smoothly.
The winter session is set to begin on Thursday (November 27) and last until Wednesday (December 31). During the meeting, the Speaker is expected to hold meetings with all party leaders in order to ensure meaningful debate and maintain decorum.
According to a provisional timetable provided by the Assembly on Monday (November 10), the fifth session of the seventh Assembly would be divided into 19 days for official business and five days for private members’ business, including bills and resolutions. President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to address the Assembly on the first day of the session.
The all-party meeting comes ahead of discussions on important legislative issues and is intended to establish a constructive spirit in the House.
