Five days remain until the opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. On Thursday, the sculpture of Ram Lalla by Arjun Yogiraj will be put in the Sanctum Sanctorum.
With the aid of a crane, the idol was carefully lowered inside the Ram temple’s “grabh grah,” or sanctum sanctorum, early on Thursday morning. On Thursday night, the priests will perform a “arti” of the new idol after performing “Jaladhivas,” or cleaning it with water, and “Gandhadivas,” or showering it with a different essence.
