The Urbane and Premium are the two new electric scooter models that Chetak has introduced. Ex-showroom, the Chetak Urbane costs Rs 1.15 lakh, while the Premium costs Rs 1.35 lakh. While the Chetak Premium comes in Hazelnut, Indigo Metallic Blue, and Brooklyn Black hues, the Chetak Urbane is offered in Coarse Grey, Cyber White, Brooklyn Black, and Indigo Metallic Blue.
Two significant improvements are made to the new Chetak variants: one pertains to technology, and the other concerns the battery pack. To begin with, the new Chetak has a TFT display with call management, music control, and support for TBT navigation. Reverse mode and hill hold control are also included for the scooter.
Sequential indicators, self-cancelling blinkers, left and right control switches, electronic handle and steering locks, seat switches, and more are among the other noteworthy upgrades. Unlike its competitors, the Chetak is still available with a full metal body.
The next significant update sees the existing 2.9kWh battery pack being replaced with a larger 3.2kWh one in the new Chetak. Bajaj promises a top speed of 73 kmph and a range of 127 km with the larger battery pack. In India, the Ola S1 and Ather 450 ranges are the main rivals of the Chetak versions.
