Citroen C3 2024 launched with New features, Automatic transmission

The Citroen C3 received its first update since its introduction in 2022. The 2024 C3 range would witness price increases ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000, depending on the version. The updated hatchback now includes previously unavailable amenities, such as the option for an automatic transmission. Furthermore, Citroen has eliminated various variations from the current C3 portfolio. The C3’s new equipment and pricing data are listed below.

What’s new about the 2024 Citroen C3?

The C3’s design stays intact, which is not a negative thing because the Citroen hatchback still looks modern. The car now has LED projector headlamps instead of the traditional halogen lighting. It still has the twin LED daytime running lights. Previously, the indicators were incorporated into the front fascia but now it’s merged with the outside rearview mirrors. Speaking of the ORVMs, they are now electrically adjustable. Citroen has finally introduced a smart key fob.

Citroen C3 2024: Automatic Transmission and Specifications

Citroen has upgraded the inside with amenities such as automatic climate control, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, and steering-mounted controls. In terms of safety, all mid-level variants include 6 airbags, ABS, ESP, Hill Hold Assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, 3-point seat belts, ISOFIX, and seat belt reminder.

The C3 will eventually be able to have an automatic transmission. Citroen has stated that the hatchback would be equipped with a 6-speed automatic torque converter, similar to the C3 Aircross and the Basalt coupe SUV. It retains the two 1.2-liter gasoline engines. The naturally aspirated engine produces 80 horsepower and 115 Nm and comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission. In contrast, the 1.2-liter turbo will have two power outputs and two gearboxes. The 6-speed manual churns out 108 bhp and 190 Nm while the new automatic version will pump out 108 bhp but a higher torque output of 205 Nm.

Citroen C3 2024: Price

The entry-level Live variant’s price stays unchanged at Rs 6.16 lakh, ex-showroom. The Feel trim is now Rs 20,000 more expensive and starts at Rs 7.47 lakh, ex-showroom. The top model Shine is available in six variants, with prices ranging from Rs 8.09 lakh to Rs 9.41 lakh ex-showroom.
