Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today hailed the sacrifice and dutyboundness of Anganwadi workers amid Covid-19 crisis in Odisha.
Throughout a webinar organised by the Women and Child Development Department, UNICEF and Mission Shakti, the CM mentioned Anganwadi workers have contributed considerably in checking the spread of Covid infection in villages.
“Defend the villages and you all stay safe along with your families,” Naveen mentioned. With the help of technology, 70,000 ground level workers were related during the webinar.
The Government Departments said that the webinar will be very helpful for the ground level workers before the door-to-door testing and survey begins in Odisha from May 24.
“From May 24 onwards, our Anganwadi workers will go from door-to-door and help in figuring out serious illnesses and Covid symptoms in people. I am sure they will be succesful in their efforts and make our villages infection-free,” mentioned Naveen.
