Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the new projects reflect the growing trust of the industrial sector in Odisha. “Every investment coming to Odisha is a testimony to the confidence of industries in our policies and governance. We are committed to positioning Odisha as the manufacturing hub of eastern India by moving up the manufacturing value chain and producing high-value products that can compete globally,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s track record, Majhi noted that in just 15 months, his administration has approved 260 industrial projects worth ₹5.6 lakh crore, with the potential to create 3.6 lakh jobs.

Over the same period, 84 projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore were established, creating 1.64 lakh job possibilities.

The Chief Minister assured businessmen of the state’s favorable business climate, stating that bureaucratic barriers have been removed and sector-specific incentives have been implemented.

“The administration is always ready to extend a helping hand to investors and resolve their challenges promptly,” he assured.

Majhi also invoked the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign, urging industries to actively participate by planting trees in their operational areas.

He announced that on September 17, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday, Odisha has pledged to plant 75 lakh trees in a single day. “Development and environmental conservation should go hand in hand,” he added.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister congratulated industrialists involved in the new projects and effectively lay the groundwork for developments in Ganjam, Khordha, Jharsuguda, Koraput, and Angul districts.

Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain stated in his remarks that Odisha’s industry-friendly atmosphere and effective administration had made the state into a popular investment destination.

Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja emphasized the importance of determination and willpower in achieving achievement, while Development Commissioner Anu Garg also spoke to the audience.

Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Hemant Sharma gave the welcoming address, and Skill Development Commissioner Bhupendra Singh Poonia offered the vote of gratitude.
