Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and IT Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi on Thursday to discuss boosting the state’s railway infrastructure.
During the courtesy encounter, both leaders had thorough discussions about expediting new railway line projects and boosting overall connectivity in Odisha. The emphasis was on improving regional and industrial linkages to support economic growth.
Taking to his X handle, CM Majhi wrote: “Today in New Delhi, I called on the Hon’ble Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji. We held a constructive discussion on strengthening railway infrastructure in Odisha, expediting new railway projects and improving connectivity across the state. Our priority is to enhance regional and industrial connectivity to accelerate economic growth. With the continued support of the Union Government, we are steadily advancing towards a developed and prosperous Odisha.”
The Chief Minister emphasized that with continuous support from the Union government, the state is making progress toward creating a developed and thriving Odisha.
He also emphasized the importance of expediting ongoing railway projects to improve last-mile connectivity in industrial and tribal communities.
