Covid-19: India logs 937 Covid cases in a day, active infections dip below 15,000

According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Monday, India’s Covid-19 case tally increased by 937 in a day to 4,46,61,516 while active cases decreased to 14,515. According to data updated at 8 a.m., the death toll has risen to 5,30,509, with nine more fatalities, including seven deaths reconciled by Kerala. One death has been reported in each of the other two states, Delhi and Odisha.
The active caseload decreased by 324 in 24 hours and now accounts for 0.03 percent of all infections. According to the ministry’s website, the national Covid-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.78%.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,16,492, with a case fatality rate of 1.19 percent.

According to the health ministry’s website, the country has received 219.73 crore doses of Covid vaccine as part of the nationwide Covid-19 vaccination drive.
