On Thursday evening, Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik hosted a big roadshow in Bhubaneswar, seeking votes for the BJD’s Lok Sabha and Assembly candidates. During the event, he announced that the people of Odisha would have free electricity beginning in July 2024. He also announced to implement the BSKY for everyone.
He asked the people to bless him and vote for ‘Jodi Sankha’.
Previously, the CM said that users who use less than 100 units of electricity will not be required to pay their bills beginning in July, when the BJD regained control.
Thousands of people greeted the CM from both sides of the road. Mission Shakti women also welcomed the BJD supremo by blowing the BJD’s symbol, the conch. Patnaik was joined by senior party leader and 5T chairman Karthik Pandian.
Thousands of city people turned out to see the chief minister and hear his remarks during the roadshow.
The roadshow started at Ganganagar Chhak and went via the LIC Office, Gopabandhu Chhak, DAV School Unit-8, HDFC Bank Square, Srikrishna Club, Behera Sahi Square, Bayababa Mutt Chhak, Rupali Square, Ram Mandir Square, and Master Canteen Square before ending at Sisubhawan Chhak.
