India and Australia will face off in the World Test Championship (WTC) today. India will be attempting to win the WTC title for the second time after losing to New Zealand in the championship’s inaugural final.
The important match will use the famous Dukes’ ball, which is the favored choice for Test and elite cricket in England. The match is set to take place across five days, from June 7th to June 11th, with a backup day available in the event of inclement weather.
Both India and Australia are missing significant players ahead of the World Tennis Championship final. Due to injuries, India has lost the services of bowler Jasprit Bumrah, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul. Meanwhile, Australia’s star player Josh Hazlewood will miss the last Test due to a problem with his left Achilles, as well as a strain in his left side arm.
Most cricket analysts and former players, including Ricky Ponting, Wasim Akram, and Ross Taylor, believe the Kangaroos will win since the game will be played in swinging conditions at The Oval in London.
