On Sunday, India defeated Bangladesh by three wickets thanks to a magnificent unbeaten 71-run partnership between Ravichandran Ashwin and Shreyas Iyer at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
On day four, India needed 100 runs and had six wickets in hand. However, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took three wickets in the first hour to leave India at 74/7. Bangladesh’s wicket-taking balls came on straighter deliveries on a pitch that aided spinners greatly, making life difficult for India.
But Ashwin and Iyer, India’s last-recognized batting pair, defended well and then hit a flurry of boundaries at the end to help the visitors win the series 2-0.
