India vs New Zealand 4th T20I: New Zealand defeated India by 50 runs. India were bowled out for 165 while chasing a 216-run mark. The chase never really got started. Abhishek dropped for a golden duck off Matt Henry, and Duffy dismissed Surya to put New Zealand ahead. Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh scored a few runs, but Santner dismissed Samson to put New Zealand ahead. India were in bad shape before Dube sparked alarm in the Kiwi camp with a 15-ball fifty. Once he was out for 65 in 23 balls, it was only a matter of time before New Zealand claimed their first series victory.
Earlier, Tim Seifert and Devon Conway scored 100 runs for the first wicket to put New Zealand ahead. Kuldeep Yadav broke the partnership, removing Conway just short of fifty. The wicket came as a relief to India, as New Zealand were dominating the match. In the next over, Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Rachin Ravindra, bringing India back into the game. Arshdeep also removed Tim Seifert shortly after, and Kuldeep reinstated Glenn Phillips, putting New Zealand in danger. Wickets were falling at one end, but Daryl Mitchell’s 18-ball 39 propelled the side above the 200-run barrier.
