Short ball was used by Indian pacers to target Pakistan batters. By taking the big wicket of Babar Azam, Bhuvneshwar Kumar gave India the perfect start. Avesh Khan then took out the dangerous Fakhar Zaman during the powerplay, putting Rohit Sharma’s team in a strong position. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Hardik Pandya cleaned up Pakistan’s tail. Rizwan top-scored with 43, before Shahnawaz Dahani and Haris Rauf helped Pakistan reach a respectable total.
