India vs. South Africa T20 2022 Highlights: Temba Bavuma’s decision to bowl first backfired as India piled up a massive 237/3 in 20 overs in the second T20I in Guwahati on Sunday. South Africa managed 221-3 in 20 overs thanks to David Miller’s unbeaten 106(47). Quinton de Kock also went unbeaten, scoring 69 off 48 balls. Temba Bavuma and Rilee Rossouw were lost early for the Proteas, with Arshdeep Singh packing the pair on 0. Aiden Markram put up some resistance but was dismissed by Axar Patel on 33(19). Earlier in the evening, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma gave India a solid start, putting on 96 runs for the first wicket.
Rohit scored 43 off 37 balls before being caught at deep off the bowling of Keshav Maharaj. On 57, Mahraj trapped Rahul LBW (27). The show was then carried on by Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav, who put on a 100-plus stand for the third wicket, with Suryakumar smashing an 18-ball half-century. On 61, he was run-out (22). Dinesh Karthik smashed a four and a couple of sixes in the final over against Kagiso Rabada, while Kohli returned unbeaten on 49(28).
