Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has expressed his condolences over the deaths of passengers in a train accident in the Jajpur district of Korei.
Patnaik expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh to each of the victims’ next of kin.
The Chief Minister has directed that the rescue operation be expedited and that adequate treatment be provided for those who have been injured.
He requested that Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Pramilla Mallick visit the site and assess the situation.
