Last week, the total market valuation of five of the top ten most valued corporations fell by Rs 62,586.88 crore, with IT behemoths Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys suffering the largest damage, amid overall bearish equities trends. The BSE benchmark sank 180.74 points, or 0.27 percent, last week, while the Nifty fell 35.95 points, or 0.18 percent.

TCS’s market capitalization fell by Rs 26,308.58 crore to Rs 12,91,919.56 crore. Infosys saw its valuation fall by Rs 25,296.43 crore, from Rs 5,95,597.10 crore to Rs 5,95,597.10 crore. Reliance Industries’ market capitalization fell by Rs 5,108.05 crore to Rs 15,87,553.37 crore, while Hindustan Unilever’s fell by Rs 3,865.08 crore to Rs 5,79,373.96 crore.

HDFC Bank’s market capitalization (mcap) fell by Rs 2,008.74 crore to Rs 11,57,145.86 crore. However, Bajaj Finance’s mcap increased by Rs 20,413.41 crore to Rs 4,73,186.41 crore.

Bharti Airtel’s valuation increased by Rs 8,520.13 crore to Rs 5,19,279.14 crore, while ITC’s valuation increased by Rs 1,526.52 crore to Rs 5,54,207.44 crore. ICICI Bank’s valuation increased by Rs 1,296.63 crore to Rs 6,66,728.97 crore, while State Bank of India’s increased by Rs 535.48 crore to Rs 5,34,316.52 crore. Reliance Industries remained at the top of the list of the most valuable companies, followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, State Bank of India, Bharti Airtel, and Bajaj Finance.
