Haryana’s Ramita Jindal and Himanshu Dhillon dominated the 10 m air rifle mixed team event at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competitions on Tuesday at the Madhya Pradesh State Shooting Academy in Bhopal, winning gold.
The duo defeated Maharashtra’s Arya Borse and Parth Mane 16-12 in the gold medal match to win the title, continuing Himanshu’s impressive run after setting a new national record and junior national record of 634.5 in the men’s 10m air rifle event the day before (December 22, 2025).
In the bronze medal match, Delhi’s Rajshree Sancheti and Paarth Makhija held their nerve to defeat Shreya Agrawal and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar of Madhya Pradesh, 17-15.
West Bengal won the junior 10m air rifle mixed team gold medal, with Sandrata Roy and Abhinav Shaw defeating Tamil Nadu’s Maneshika Tarun Senthil and Shaktivel Senthilvel in the final 16-8. Hrudya Shri Kondur and Naraen Pranav of Karnataka won the bronze medal by defeating Nishitha Bommidi and Ummahesh Maddineni of Andhra Pradesh 17-9.
In the youth category, Isha Anil Taksale and Pritam Kendre from Maharashtra won a close fight, defeating Tamil Nadu’s Maneshika Tarun Senthil and Shaktivel Senthilvel 16-14 to capture the gold medal. The bronze medal was won by Karnataka’s Tilottama Sen and Abishek Sekhar, who defeated West Bengal’s Sandratta Roy and Abhinav Shaw 17-9.
The championship action now turns to New Delhi after Christmas, with the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Men finals set for Friday (December 26) at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, with the first final starting at 2:00 PM IST.
