In Odisha, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hoisted the national flag this morning during the state-level 77th Independence Day Celebration in Bhubaneswar.
In his remarks on the occasion, he stated that India’s freedom movement ushered in a new period in world history, and that the country had succeeded in establishing itself as a significant force. He stated that Odisha is changing and that the state’s economy is expanding. Poverty has decreased in Odisha, and the government is working to build a contemporary digital infrastructure in every hamlet while also preserving the Jagannath culture. He stated that Odisha is progressing with artists, youths, and people from all walks of life, and that development for everyone is true development.
Mr Patnaik further stated that Odisha has received crores of rupees in investments, generating job possibilities for youth. He stated that the state administration has resolved to open banking branches in the state’s 4,373 unbanked panchayats.
To commemorate Independence Day, a colorful parade was held at Bhubaneswar’s Exhibition Ground.
In his Independence Day speech at the State-level celebrations at the Exhibition Ground here today, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik urged the people of the state to work together to develop it.
In his address to the crowd, the CM stated that the development of poor people, farmers, women, tribals, and youth is real progress.
“Odisha is undergoing major transformation in education, healthcare, tourism, infrastructure and other fields due to application of 5T principle. The economy of the state has strengthened as the number of poor people has receded. The state has been receiving investments worth lakhs of rupees, creating employment opportunities for youth,” the CM said.
“The government has decided to open banking outlets in 4373 unbanked panchayats of the state. With this, people residing in every panchayat of Odisha will have access to banking services. Senior citizens, women and physically challenged persons will be the major beneficiaries of this initiative,” said Patnaik.
“The Madhu Babu Pension Scheme recently added 4 lakh additional beneficiaries. They will get pension from today,” he said.
“Every life is precious. The Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojna has ensured quality healthcare service for everyone. Women are the face of development. The Mission Shakti has emerged as the engine of transformation for them,” the Chief Minister said.
