Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has directed that vacant teacher positions be filled in the state’s various government high schools.
The Odisha Staff Selection Commission has been directed by the Chief Minister to begin the recruitment process for 7,540 high school teachers as soon as possible.
Following the filling of these vacancies, all vacant teaching positions in the state’s 4848 government high schools will be filled.
The selection process for TGT (Arts), TGT (PCM & CBZ), Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, and Physical Education positions will begin.
It is worth noting that over 13,000 teacher positions were filled in various government schools during the two selection processes held in 2021-22.
It is worth noting that, while the state government has undertaken various transformation programs in the state under the 5T initiatives, the emphasis has been placed on the transformation of schools in order to provide modern education to children. Advanced play equipment, playgrounds, and other facilities are being developed, ranging from computers and the internet to e-libraries. Under 5T, the recruitment process has also been accelerated.
Vacancies in various departments are being filled quickly and transparently. While thousands of positions in various departments have been filled in recent years, the hiring process will continue.
