Odisha today reported 189 new cases of COVID-19 with 83 people testing positive in Khurda alone.
According to the I&PR Department, on Saturday, tests were conducted on 59,468 persons out of which 189 were found to be positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Similarly, 257 persons recovered from the disease on Saturday out of which 146 were from Khurda. Currently, there are 2,313 active cases in the State.
Among the new cases, 76 are local contacts and the rest 113 persons are in quarantine, the Information and Public Relations Department informed.
So far, more than 10.50 lakh persons have contracted COVID-19 in Odisha out of which 10.39 (+) have recovered. Till Friday (December 3), 8,422 persons had succumbed to the disease in the State.
