The Odisha government enhanced the stipend for House Surgeons in Government Medical Colleges on Tuesday.
“On careful consideration of the grievances of the House Surgeons for an increase in their stipend, the Government has been pleased for implementation of a dynamic stipend in favour of House Surgeons @ 50% of the current remuneration paid to Assistant Surgeons under OMHS cadre on their entry into Govt. Service + DA as admissible,” said a notification issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department.
The improvement will take effect immediately, according to the notification.
The Finance Department agreed with the decision, according to the notification.
