According to an official press release, the State government has increased the pre-matric scholarship for Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Scheduled Caste (SC) boarders from Rs 750 to Rs 950 for boys and Rs 800 to Rs 1000 for girls.
One of the State government’s flagship schemes is the provision of pre-matric scholarships to ST and SC boarders of schools through the ST & SC Development Department and the School & Mass Education Department.
The pre-matric Scholarship is primarily intended for mess management in hostels and aims to provide ST and SC boarders with an educational and holistic development.
