The Subhadra Yojana has expanded its scope in a big push for women’s economic empowerment and financial independence, with the Odisha government announcing a new application window.
According to an official press release, qualified women who have not previously applied can submit their applications through the Subhadra Portal from April 1 to April 30, 2026. The move attempts to ensure that no worthy beneficiary is excluded from the initiative.
The requirements state that applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 60 as of April 1, 2026. Beneficiaries will get ₹10,000 per year in two installments beginning in fiscal year 2026-27 and continuing for the duration of the scheme.
Officials underlined that only new applicants would be examined during this period, and applications from women who have previously applied will not be approved.
To ensure a seamless enrollment process, the government has permitted registration through Common Service Centres (CSCs) and Ama Seva Kendras (ASKs) throughout the state. In addition, application forms will be available for free at all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) and Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) offices.
The state government described the effort as a watershed moment, reaffirming its commitment to improving women’s financial stability and self-reliance while assuring more participation in the system.
