The Odisha government’s investment outreach campaign in the UAE entered its second day on Wednesday, with a jam-packed agenda of high-level government meetings, investor exchanges, and industry-specific business discussions.
According to the official itinerary released by the state government, the second day of the Odisha Investors’ Meet in the UAE will be dedicated to exploring investment prospects and developing economic cooperation between Odisha and the UAE.
The day will begin with a high-level meeting with the UAE’s Minister of Economy and Tourism, His Excellency Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, who is also a Cabinet Member and Chairman of the Council of International Investment. Discussions will center on investment and economic collaboration. This would be followed by a series of one-on-one sessions with representatives from various industrial companies to discuss investment opportunities and potential industrial collaborations in Odisha.
A roundtable meeting with the aluminum downstream business will be a high point of the day, highlighting Odisha’s rich aluminum ecosystem and investment opportunities in the downstream sector.
In this context, the Odisha delegation will also visit the Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) facility to explore opportunities for collaboration in the aluminium and downstream industries.
Furthermore, the delegation will meet with the Indian commercial and Professional Council (IBPC) to explore how to expand India-UAE commercial ties and present investment prospects in Odisha.
An industry roundtable with the Bureau of Middle East Recycling is also planned, focusing on recycling, circular economy, and sustainable industrial development.
The day will end with an interactive session with the Odisha business delegation to discuss commercial prospects, market linkages, and ways to expand Odisha-UAE economic relationships.
