In preparation for the forthcoming Rath Yatra 2025, the Odisha Police has launched a WhatsApp ChatBot to help visitors navigate Puri. This new system seeks to deliver real-time traffic updates, allowing devotees to navigate with ease.
ADG Traffic Dayal Gangawar stated that the WhatsApp ChatBot will use visitors’ real-time location to provide directions to the nearest parking spots.
The Odisha Police Department encourages all visitors, including those driving two-wheelers, four-wheelers, and buses, to use the WhatsApp ChatBot for easy navigation and collaborate with on-field traffic personnel to ensure smooth traffic flow. This program is part of the police department’s overall attempts to use technology to improve traffic control during the Rath Yatra.
By using the WhatsApp ChatBot, devotees can have a hassle-free experience during the festival. The Odisha Police’s adoption of AI-powered technology, including drones and CCTV cameras, aims to ensure public safety and efficient crowd management.
Key Features of the WhatsApp ChatBot:
- Real-time Live Location: The ChatBot uses visitors’ live locations to provide directions to the nearest parking places.
- Geo-marked Parking Places: All parking areas have been geo-marked and designated routes mapped for easy access.
