RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das conferred with ‘Governor of the year’ Award at Central Banking Awards 2023

The international publication Central Banking has awarded Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das the ‘Governor of the Year’ 2023 Award.

Mr. Das has been the central bank’s governor since December 2018. He received the award for guiding financial markets through multiple crises, including the pandemic and inflation caused by the Ukraine war.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated the RBI Governor, Shri Shaktikanta Das for being conferred with the ‘Governor of the year’ award in the Central Banking Awards 2023.

Sharing news of CNBC TV18, the Prime Minister tweeted;

“It is a matter of immense pride for our country that the @RBI Governor, Shri Shaktikanta Das Ji has been conferred with the ‘Governor of the year’ Award in the Central Banking Awards 2023. Congratulations to him.”
