Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The major domestic indices finished Thursday’s trading session in positive territory, having reached an all-time high earlier in the day. The NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.16% to 20,103.10, while the BSE Sensex gained 52.01 points to 67,519.00. In early trade today, the Nifty 50 achieved a new all-time high of 20,167.65, while the BSE Sensex also joined the surge, reaching a new all-time high of 67,771.05.
The broader indices finished in the green, with mid- and small-cap stocks leading the way. The Bank Nifty gained 91.40 points, reaching 46,000.85. Except for Media and FMCG, which had 0.40% and 0.15% declines, the other sectoral indices traded mostly in the green.
The relative volatility in the market is significantly higher, and the VIX was up by 4.58%.
