Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Monday, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 settled at record closing highs after setting new lifetime highs. The broader Nifty 50 finished at 19,322.55, up 0.7%, while the 30-share Sensex rose 485 points to 65,205, after reaching a fresh all-time high of 65,300.35 intraday. The Bank Nifty closed above 45,150. The broader markets finished in the black, with the Nifty Smallcap 100 up 1.23%. The India VIX fear measure closed at 11.54%, up 6.85%. Nifty Auto, Nifty IT, and Nifty Pharma were laggards, while Nifty PSU Bank increased 3.7%. Nifty Metal and Nifty Realty helped the Nifty 50 gain ground.
Asian share markets
Shares in the Asia-Pacific region were trading in the green on Monday. China’s Shanghai Composite gained 0.55% in trade, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 surged 1.58%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index gained 1.19% while South Korea’s Kospi was higher by 1.48%. The Taiwan Weighted index recorded a gain of 0.99%.
