Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The blue-chip benchmark index NSE Nifty 50 touched a new intraday high of 20,008.10, as the Sensex edged closer to its all-time high. The NSE Nifty closed at a fresh high of 19,996.35, a tremendous increase of 176.4 points. The Sensex rose 0.78% to 67,127.08. The robust momentum in Reliance Industries (RIL) and banking equities drove today’s market activity. Notably, Adani Ports emerged as the Nifty pack’s best performance, jumping by 7%. The Nifty 50 gained 0.89%, while the Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Smallcap 100 gained 1.14% and 1.33%, respectively. The broader markets finished in the black. Bank Nifty increased by 0.92%. However, the banking stocks index Nifty PSU Bank surged an incredible 3.13%, while Nifty Metal added 1.81%. The sole underperformer was Nifty Media, closing lower by 0.33%.
