Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Indian benchmark indices finished mildly positive despite weak Asian markets and mixed global cues. The BSE Sensex closed at 62,294 points, down from 63,000 but still 20 points higher. The NSE Nifty ended the day at 18,512, up 0.15%, while the Bank Nifty index fell 0.2% to 42,983. Every sector fluctuated between gains and losses. Nifty Media gained the most, while Nifty Bank, Nifty FMCG, and Nifty Financial Services lost the most. The Nifty SmallCap 100 and Nifty MidCap 100 indices gained 1% and 0.9%, respectively, in the broader markets. Coal India, Tata Motors, HDFC Life, RIL, and Hero MotoCorp were among the NSE Nifty index’s top gainers, while Britannia, Titan, Kotak Bank, Nestle India and ICICI Bank were the laggards.
