Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished Tuesday’s volatile session in the red. The NSE Nifty fell 88.75 points, or 0.51%, to 17,303.95, while the BSE Sensex fell 326.23 points, or 0.55%, to 58,962.12. The Bank Nifty fell 38.05 points, or 0.09%, to 40,269.05. Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, Britannia, and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Cipla, Hindalco, Dr Reddy, ONGC, and Reliance Industries Ltd were the top losers (RIL).
The US markets ended the overnight session in the positive territory with Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 0.22%, S&P 500 up 0.31% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq climbing 0.63%.
Asian markets were trading broadly in green with China’s Shanghai Composite index rising 0.33%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 jumping 0.47%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng climbing 0.72% and South Korea’s KOSPI advancing 1.07%.
