Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The Dalal Street benchmark indices experienced a volatile trading session, with bulls and bears engaged in a tug-of-war for the majority of the day.
The S&P BSE Sensex rose 214 points, or 0.37 percent, to 58,350, while the NSE Nifty 50 index rose 42 points to 17,388. Bank Nifty ended in the red, while the Nifty gained more than 1%. India The VIX gave up gains in the final minutes of trading to end 0.43 percent lower, but it remains above 18 levels.
Tech Mahindra led the gainers with a 2.28 percent gain, followed by Infosys and TCS. Maruti Suzuki India was the worst performer, followed by Sun Pharma, both of which were down more than 2%.
