Share Market Highlights: Sensex climbs 257 pts, Nifty ends above 17500

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Tuesday, domestic headline indices saw a tug of war between bulls and bears, with the Sensex and Nifty ending in positive territory. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 257 points, or 0.44%, to close at 59,031, while the NSE Nifty 50 index rose 86 points, or 0.5%, to 17,577. The Bank Nifty gained 1%, while the India VIX remained unchanged at 19 levels. The top gaining stock on the Sensex was Mahindra & Mahindra, which rose 4.18%, followed by Bajaj Finserv and Tata Steel. Infosys was the laggard, falling 1.7%, and was followed by TCS, HUL, and Tech Mahindra.
