Share Market Highlights: Sensex ends 200 pts down, Nifty around 18,000

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices HIGHLIGHTS: Despite a global market rout, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 ended marginally lower on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex finished 224 points or 0.4% lower at 60,347, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell 66 points or 0.4% to 18004. The India VIX, or volatility index, increased by 4.6% to 18.28. Among the top index gainers were IndusInd Bank, NTPC, Power Grid Corporation of India, State Bank of India (SBI), Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finserv, Tata Steel, and HDFC Bank. On the other hand, top index laggards included Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tech Mahindra, and HCL Tech.
