Today’s Share Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Domestic markets gave up intraday gains to end the day in the red for the fourth day in a row.
The S&P BSE Sensex fell 276 points, or 0.51 percent, to 54088, while the NSE Nifty 50 index fell 72.95 points, or 0.45 percent, to 16,167.
The Bank Nifty gained 0.61 percent, while the India VIX gained 2.2 percent to close above 22. Axis Bank led the Sensex gainers, rising 2.5 percent, while IndusInd Bank rose 1.67 percent, followed by HDFC and Kotak Mahindra Bank. Larsen & Toubro was the worst-performing Sensex stock, down 2%, followed by Bajaj Finserve, NTPC, and Bajaj Finance.
