Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: Domestic equity markets were in the green for the majority of Monday’s session, but ended with marginal losses due to fag-end selling.
The S&P BSE Sensex surrendered all intraday gains to close 37.78 points or 0.07 percent lower at 54,288 while the NSE Nifty 50 index fell 51.45 points or 0.32 percent to 16,214. The Bank Nifty finished 0.08 percent lower.
The India VIX rose 1.3 percent to close above the 23 level. Maruti Suzuki India led the Sensex gainers with a 4% gain, followed by M&M, HUL, and Larsen & Toubro.
On Monday, Tata Steel fell 12.24 %t, Ultratech Cement fell 3 percent, and ITC fell 2.2 %
