Share Market Highlights: Sensex falls 390 pts, Nifty ends above 17000

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The weekly F&O expiry of Indian benchmark indices ended on a negative note due to volatility. The BSE Sensex fell 390.58 points, or 0.68%, to 57,235.33, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell 109.30 points, or 0.64%, to 17,014.30. Wipro, Adani Ports, SBI, SBI Life Insurance, and L&T were among the top Nifty losers, while the top gainers were HCL Tech, Sun Pharma, Coal India, Britannia, and Tata Motors. With the exception of metals and healthcare, all other sectoral indices finished in the red. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices fell 0.5% each in the broader markets. The focus will now shift to the US CPI data, which will be released later today.
