Share Market Highlights: Sensex falls 638 pts, Nifty ends below 16,900

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On the first day of the week, bears gripped Dalal Street as benchmark indices ended in the red amid weak global cues. The S&P BSE Sensex closed at 56,789, down 638 points (1.11%). The NSE Nifty 50 fell 207 points, or 1.21 percent, to 16,887. Adani Enterprises was the biggest Nifty dragger, falling 9%. Following that, Eicher Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Ports, Hindalco, Tata Consumer Products, HUL, Kotak Bank, ITC, HDFC Life, Britannia, SBI, and Tata Motors were all sold. On the plus side, ONGC, Cipla, Coal India, Dr Reddy’s Labs, BPCL, Divis Labs, and Bharti Airtel all contributed to a reduction in losses.
