Share Market Highlights: Sensex gains 1,276 pts, Nifty ends above 17,250

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: Bulls dominated Dalal Street, with benchmark indices rising more than 2% on the back of positive global cues. Domestic equities rose as market sentiment improved globally. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 1,277 points, or 2.25 percent, to 58,065, while the Nifty 50 closed at 17,274, up 387 points, or 2.29 percent. In intraday trading, the index approached the 17,300 mark. All sectoral indices finished in the green, with auto, bank, metal, IT, power, and real estate up 2-3%. The Indian rupee closed 39 paise higher at 81.48 per dollar on Tuesday, up from 81.87 the previous day.
