Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the day in the green. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 126.20 points, or 0.68%, to 18,817.40, while the BSE Sensex rose 446.03 points, or 0.71%, to 63,416.03. Bank Nifty advanced 480.45 points, or 1.10%, to 44,121.50, Nifty Financial Services advanced 1.37%, Nifty IT advanced 0.73%, Nifty PSU Bank advanced 1.02%, Nifty Private Bank improved 1.11%, and Nifty Realty advanced 1.24%. HDFC Life, Apollo Hospitals, State Bank of India (SBIN), JSW Steel, and SBI Life were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Cipla, Britanniam Tata Consumer Products, Adani Ports, and UPL were the top losers.
US indices end in red
The US market ended the overnight session in red – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dipped 0.04%, S&P 500 tumbled 0.45% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq tanked 1.16%.
Asian markets trade mixed
Asian markets were trading mixed – Hong Kong’s Hang Seng jumped 1.5%, Asia Dow rose 0.1%, China’s Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.5% while Japan’s Nikkei 225 tanked 0.84% and South Korea’s KOSPI dipped 0.12%.
