Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished Friday’s session in the red. The NSE Nifty 50 dropped 105.75 points, or 0.56%, to 18,665.50, while the BSE Sensex fell 259.52 points, or 0.41%, to 62,979.37. Bank Nifty down 101.95 points or 0.23% to 43,622.90, Nifty Auto fell 1.03%, Nifty IT fell 0.89%, Nifty Metal fell 2.48%, and Nifty PSU Bank fell 1.18%. IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, and NTPC were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, BPCL, Hindalco, and Divis Laboratories were the top losers.
US indices end mostly in green
The US market ended the overnight session mostly in green – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) settled flat, S&P 500 rose 0.37% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 0.95%.
Asian markets deeply in red
Asian markets were trading broadly in red – Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tanked 1.48%, China’s Shanghai Composite Index tumbled 1.38%, South Korea’s KOSPI dipped 0.69%, Asia Dow sank 1.38% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 plunged 1.37%.
