The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued a series of Yellow Warnings for the next five days, warning residents in Odisha of a combination of strong thunderstorms, scorching conditions, and warm nights. The “Be Aware” warnings come amid sporadic heavy rainfall in Koraput district and high temperatures in the western belt.
According to the midday report issued at 2 p.m. today, no notable synoptic system is over the region. However, isolated convective activity and moisture incursion are predicted to cause dangerous weather in numerous areas.

These conditions are very likely to occur in the afternoon and evening hours across 16 districts, including Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Cuttack, Puri, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
