On September 11, the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the provisional answer keys for the University Grants Commission (UGC)-NET 2024. Candidates who took the test will be able to access the provisional answer key on the official UGC NET websites, ugcnet.nta.ac.in and ugcnet.ntaonline.
The exams commenced from August 21 to September 4 across the country. Candidates who are dissatisfied with the answer key can challenge it by paying a cost of Rs 200 per question. The objection window will close on September 13.
The UGC NET test was held in 83 different subjects, including Hindi, English, French, Spanish, sociology, visual arts, mass communication, journalism, and more. Except for the language papers, the question paper was exclusively in English and Hindi, with each question carrying two marks. There were no negative consequences for any incorrect attempts.
In addition to the tentative answer keys for the UGC NET 2024 tests held on August 27, 28, 29, and 30, and September 2, 3, 4, and 5, the testing agency has issued the question paper with recorded responses.
The scorecard and results will be given next. The scorecard will include the candidate’s name, roll number, father’s and mother’s names, categories, application numbers, and exam qualifying status. Candidates should keep in mind that there will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of the results, thus any contact in this regard will be ignored.
The UGC NET is conducted twice a year. It is a qualifying exam for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Assistant Professorships, and PhD program admittance. Earlier this year, the exam was scheduled for June 18 but was cancelled due to ‘leak claims’.
