The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the provisional answer keys and response sheets for the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) Session 2, 2025. Students who took JEE Main Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) can access the tentative answer key and recorded responses on the official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
This year, the NTA administered the JEE main session 2 exam for Paper 1 (BE, BTech) on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, while Paper 2 (BArch and BPlan) was held on April 9. The results of JEE Main Paper 1 will be announced on April 19.
The NTA has now provided the option to file grievances concerning the answer keys and recorded responses. Candidates can submit objections to the JEE Main paper 2 provisional answer key online by May 16 (11.50 p.m.) for a non-refundable processing charge of Rs 200 per objection.
“If challenge(s) made by the candidate is found correct, the Answer Key will be revised and applied in the response of all the candidates accordingly. Based on the revised Final Answer Keys, the result will be prepared and declared. No individual candidate will be informed about the acceptance/nonacceptance of his/her challenge. The keys finalized by the Experts after the settlement of the challenge will be final,” NTA said while releasing the provisional answer key of JEE Main paper 2.
Following the publication of the final JEE Main answer key, the NTA will announce the JEE Main 2025 paper 2 result and cut-off. The JEE Main Session 2 result will be revealed, along with the cut-off, all-India rank holders, and state-wise toppers. Candidates who took the JEE Main 2025 in January and April should expect a slight increase in the cut-off this year, indicating an increase in the number of candidates and previous years’ cut-offs.
In the instance of Paper 1 (BTech and BE), the NTA addressed issues voiced concerning irregularities in the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 answer key, such as inaccurate answers, incorrectly recorded responses, and even blank response sheets. These flaws drew criticism from kids, parents, and educational specialists alike. The NTA responded with a series of posts on X, emphasizing its commitment to a transparent and impartial inspection process. The organization also warned candidates not to be swayed by reports that may cause extra confusion or stress.
