Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 vaccination of expectant mothers in Odisha will start after July 15, informed Health and Family Welfare Department Director Bijay Panigrahi today.
Speaking to mediapersons, Panigrahi stated the state Government’s guidelines regarding vaccination of pregnant women will be issued today whereas drive will begin after July 15.
ANM, ASHA and Anganwadi workers and other health workers have been directed to complete training on the same before the date, he added.
The official further informed that 1.73 lakh Covaxin doses arrived this morning. Inoculation has been halted in 5 districts in the state today because of scarcity of vaccine.
